A 6-hour deep dive into the CPRT Protocol by Kate Weir, EdS., M.Ed., LPC-S, RPT-S

After completing this workshop, participants will be familiar with the CPRT program and protocol and will feel confident using their entire protocol or portions of it in their work with parents.

Objectives:

Participants will learn:

  1. The history of CPRT.

  2. The purpose of CPRT.

  3. How to identify whether or not a parent is an appropriate candidate for the CPRT protocol.

  4. How to conduct pre- and post- intervention assessments with parents.

  5. How to structure CPRT sessions with parents and how to teach parents to structure their sessions with their children.

  6. The key components of each session.

  7. The CPRT “rules of thumb.”

  8. Outcomes based research about the protocol.

  9. multicultural considerations of CPRT.

Refund Policy: Refunds will be given for paid continuing education training cancelled by MAPT and for when MAPT relocated trainings to another region of the state. For attendees who cancel 48 hours prior to the start of the training, a MAPT credit will be provided to attendees for the amount paid and can be used at a future MAPT training.
